Art Evidence

Walt : design a variety of patterns to create a piece of zentangle art.
.

Success Criteria
  • We were able to divide our background art into sections and design a variety of patterns within each section.
  • We were able to choose an analogous colour scheme and add it to the zentangle patterns and continue the pattern with each analogous colour.
  • We were able to continue each section with a new analogous colour scheme.
  • We were able to make sure our animals did not overlap with the background

Next time I will make sure that I keep the patterns on the background the same and I will choose my colours carefully so that they will contrast.

The Whale Rider Compare and contrast

Walt : actively seek to extend my knowledge of new vocabulary and words that mean the same.

I was able to stop when I came across a word I didn’t understand and I looked for the meaning of the word in the dictionary on the computer.
Next time I will try and use some of the new vocabulary that I have learnt in my reading.

Math Evidence

Walt : find fractions of sets by using multiplication and division eg. ⅓ of 21 is 7

Success Criteria
  • I was able to use my knowledge of division facts to help me solve fractions of sets.
  • I understood that I needed to divide the amount in the set by the denominator eg. 21 divided by 7 is 3.
I understood that I needed to find out what the fraction of a set was for a unit fractions was before I could find out what the fraction of a set when the numerator was more than 1.

Autumn Personifacation Poem

My Reflection

Walt : edit and revise my writing for clarity and impact in response to feedback and self-reviewing and assessing.

I was able to re-craft my autumn poem because I changed that mean the same to more interesting words like burrow, Splash.
Next time I need to re-read my writing often so that I don’t miss out words and so that my sentences make sense.
